Detached head

Okay so taught 3 hours of belly dancing today - still loving it. But my head feels oddly detached from the rest of my body. I went to the doctor today - It looks like I possibly have an iron deficiency. Argh. Oh well, I still plan to continue the 101 activities I have as usual :)

Random thought:
  • Just discovered Passion Tea Lemonade - Can't get enough of it!!!!!

Sleep deprived body

Agrhhhh...my body is angry with me. Sigh my crazy hormones in addition to lack of sleep and gym time = weaken immune system and sick me. oh well...not so bad, but I just wanted to complain. Although its better this way so when the August long weekend hits I can be healthy again :) At least I should be - how else will I be able to handle the island trouble with the girls this long weekend!!

Random thoughts:
  • I LOVE Cadbury Thins and I seem to have developed an obsession with the combination of chocolate and peanut butter lately
  • Printed out 244 page French book & 170 page Spanish book - Its time to get serious about learning and practicing these languages
  • Was in Kelowna this past weekend - oh was it delicious trouble - we have now renamed Tessa's place the Puma's Lair after being informed that we are all too young to qualify as cougars
  • Confession: I'm loving the song "Don't Cha" by Pussycat Dolls feat. Busta Rhymes - The lyrics are not exactly nice - okay they are nasty, but I still like the song....
  • New Entertainment: Found out that my boss, John, is very ticklish! hummm okay that sounds weird, but we're all friends at my work place. Besides its hilarious that you don't even have to poke him and he is already jumping!! heeheehee serves him right for harrassing his highly dedicated and efficient employees. The sight of him jumping can provide hours of entertainment for anyone especially considering he likes to stand there and poke at everyone else :p

I love the work being done towards alternative transport technology such as this particular electric vehicle - But judging from its errrr sleek look the designers are not claustrophobic.

BRAIN SPORT: Beep Beep! This is the solar car, Ultraviolet, from Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario) that is taking part in the North American Solar Challenge(http://nasc2005.americansolarchallenge.org/) and later the World Solar Challenge (http://www.wsc.org.au/).

I want to go Camel Treking

I am moving to Europe with Cheryl!

At least I will be next year after I return from the Philippines. While I am there I desperately want to go to Africa and go camel treking in Tunisnia. And fly over to Turkey and take intense Arabic Dancing lessons. Meet Jon's eye candy crew mates in the UK. Enjoy cheese and wine in France. Watch football in Spain. Eat Ice Cream and drink more wine in Italy. Learn to speak up in Hungary. Soak in the beaches in Greece. And much more....much much much more....

Well, first I need to find a job there....

I am so restless and ready to live and work abroad! It wierd though. I would love to move back to Mexico. Its such a beautiful country with an infectious culture! I have an opportunity to move to Vera Cruz state and work. And its very hard right now to not go...But I know I will eventually go back. I pretty much decided I would like to do my masters at the Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey (ITESM) where I was working. So until then, I really must get out there and explore countries outside North America and Asia.

Ass Ass Ass

Sadness - Cheryl went back to Ontario after a crazy fun week and a half! Crazy as in my dear old roommate gathered quite the collection of admirers/stockers...heeheehee....

It was an exhausting, but a worth it combination of belly dancing and salsa dancing, glitter and hair spray, beach bums and flowing skirts, shopping and accessories, wine and star bucks. Yes I am actually drinking Star Bucks. Okay so I still don't like coffee. But I have to admire that as a large chain corporation they are remarkably socially aware supporting free trade and choosing more environmentally friendly packaging options. And I am obsessing over their Chai Latte and Green Tea Lemonade.

There was also this weird theme of Ass during the week. Quotes below demonstrate...

  • Ass, âne, esel, come, como, esel - in otherwords ASS ASS ASS ASS (In reference to Jon not immediately notifying me that he is alright after the bombing in London)
  • Explore my ass! (okay this one was not intended as it sounds)
I miss my three's company roommates! Well Jon, Cheryl - Think its time we had a little reunion ;)

Awww I sometimes wish I could kidnap some friends at particular times cause I want to them to see or experience something with me at that moment wherever I am :p

Well its that time of year again where we will be having quite a few visitors passing through. I love it!

So first it was Cheryl and family from Vancouver.
Next will be Angel, my island girl sister from Edmonton.
And of course my uncle from Calgary at some point.
And at a yet to be decided date Brenda from Monterrey, Mexico with her new husband, Jordan, from Victoria, Canada.
And always friends now living in Vancouver coming home on the long weekends.

And those are only the confirmed ones.

I love sharing my Beloved Penticton with friends... http://www.penticton.ca/

Side note: Its adorable how my city friends must always take pictures of their fruit picking experience!

My Day!

Happy Birthday to me!!

Celebrated with my parents by going on a little road trip the the USA and later ate at Salty's resturant with Katie & Jenni. Funny the waiter just returned from China after 10 months and he remembers me from last year! Or rather he remembers a mix of me and Angel...hahaha well everyone always mistakens us as sisters here.
